The Wray FCCLA and the Wray High School Volleyball Team recently totaled the amount of money they have raised throughout the month of October to donate to the Wray Community District Hospital. The money raised helps women from our community, who need free or low cost screenings or mammograms. Pictured below are FCCLA members presenting a check to Sylvia Alcorn, representing the Radiology Department at the WCDH for $1700. Money was raised on October 3rd at the Wray High School Pink Out volleyball game. Throughout the game, t-shirts were sold, a pink volleyball was auctioned off, and a cake raffle and silent auction were held as well as recognition of survivors of breast cancer and all cancers. Wray FCCLA and Wray Volleyball would like to thank gracious sponsors: WCDH for matching all funds raised (the new total is $3400), Chamberlain Concrete for purchasing the volleyball, Carmen Roth, Country Touch & Embroidery, Cure Farms, Janet Cure, Deterding Farms, Farm Reign, First Pioneer National Bank, LaFamilia, Rachels Originals, Riverview Produce and Nursery, Sprague Farms, Sylvia Alcorn, Sugar Shack, Wray Lumber, Wray Community Health Clinic P.C. Dr. Buchanan, Dr. Reed, Dr. Paulson, & Dr. Uyemura and all private donations and sponsors for making this incredible evening take place!
