Good morning, Mr. Boudoin, the new band teacher will be in town tonight for a meet and greet from 5:00-5:30 pm at the District Office Board Room. Stop in and say hello if you are around.

Third graders spiced it up at the end of the year. Through the Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom literacy project, we read the story Seed, Sprout, Spice written by former WES kindergarten teacher Rachel (Linke) Allnutt. Then we planted Pueblo Chile seeds and made tortilla pinwheels with fresh Colorado chiles. Los alumnos de tercer grado le dieron sabor al final del año. A través del proyecto de alfabetización Colorado Agriculture en el aula, leímos el cuento Seed, Sprout, Spice (Semilla, brote, especia) escrito por la antigua maestra de jardín de infancia de WES Rachel (Linke) Allnutt. Después plantamos semillas de chile Pueblo e hicimos molinillos de tortilla con chiles frescos de Colorado.

Our students enjoyed a tour of the Wray Museum. They enjoyed learning about local history, looking at fossils, learning about Beecher Island, trying a rotary phone, identifying animal tracks, and even creating their own brand. Thank you to all of the volunteers that made this a great tour. Nuestros alumnos disfrutaron de una visita al Museo Wray. Disfrutaron aprendiendo sobre la historia local, viendo fósiles, aprendiendo sobre Beecher Island, probando un teléfono de disco, identificando huellas de animales e incluso creando su propia marca. A huge thank you to Audrey Rock for showing the second graders around the feedlot and teaching us about bison. She even shared some tasty bison meat sticks with us. Yummy! Third grade students enjoyed visiting the Overland Trail Museum. They had fun learning about the historic westward migration of gold seekers and early pioneer life.
