Bob Selle
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Bob Selle.
Bob faithfully served the Wray School District from 1972 to 1998 in many capacities. He worked his way up from Industrial Arts teacher, to twenty years as Buchanan Middle School principal, and eventually Superintendent. In addition to these roles, Bob was a wrestling coach, football announcer, and ran the Pee Wee Football program. He started the Lions Club Student of the Month awards program, which is still an honored tradition.
Not only was he involved in education, but he was a pillar in the Wray community as well. He was active in the Lions Club and the United Methodist Church with dedication and a selfless service to others.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Donna, Lisa, Chris, and his family.
A memorial service will be held on September 6th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Calhan High School with a reception following at Calhan United Methodist Church (583 Denver Street, Calhan, CO 80808).

No solo se dedicó a la educación, sino que también fue un pilar de la comunidad de Wray. Participó activamente en el Club de Leones y en la Iglesia Metodista Unida con dedicación y un servicio desinteresado a los demás.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all of our students, staff, and families who participated in summer school this year. From engaging lessons and creative projects to fun activities and special moments, it was truly another amazing and memorable summer!
We are so proud of the hard work and growth we witnessed in our students. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated staff and supportive families who helped make this program such a success. Special appreciation also goes to the Wray Public Library for enriching our experience with their valuable support and resources.
This year, we had just over 52 students attend summer school, and we proudly celebrated 12 students who earned a Perfect Attendance Award!
We wrapped up our final day with donuts and juice as a fun “Woohoo—we made it!” celebration.
Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer. We’ll see you again soon!
Queremos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todos nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias que participaron en la escuela de verano este año. The 4th graders enjoyed a game of capture the flag, Gatorade, pizza, and a high school teammate as a reward for working hard during testing. Thank you to the high school boys who joined. We had so much fun!
