This past week we celebrated and honored some awesome Teachers and Staff at the Wray School District. We were happy to catch folks up and celebrate some very special milestones. We cannot thank our Teachers and Staff enough for all that they do for our district, community and most importantly our students. You are appreciated and thank you!

Recycle Club
Our last Recycle Club meeting will be Thursday, May 4th after school from 3:15 – 4:00pm. We will finish sorting and then go over our field trip details. All members 3rd through 6th grade will meet at this time. They have done an amazing job this year and I’m excited to be able to celebrate their hard work with a field trip. They have collected and diverted over 2,372 pounds of recyclables from the landfill!

Kindergarten Roundup will be May 12, 2023!
Wray Elementary School will have a Kindergarten Roundup for the 2023-2024 school year on Friday, May 12. New Kindergarten parents will need to call Wray Elementary at 332-3729 and set up a two-hour session for your child. The times we have available will be 9-11 AM or 12:30-2:30 PM . We will have the parents pre-register their new Kindergarteners at this time.
Children must be five(5) years old on or before June 1, 2023 to attend Kindergarten during the 2023-2024 school year. When pre-registering your child, please make sure to bring the following documents:
Child’s Official Birth Certificate
Child’s Completed Immunization Record
Proof of residency (any type of bill, house, lease, etc).
If your child is enrolled in Wray Preschool this year, you will only need to bring proof of residency because the school will have the other information.
All parents who have children that will be attending Kindergarten Roundup please contact the Wray Elementary Office at 970-332-3729 before Monday, May 9, 2023. Please remember that both you and your child will need to attend.

In March '23 our 7-12th grade Wray art students were entered into the McCook Art Guild student show in McCook, NE. Our students came away with the top awards! Xanthe Burrell's piece won best of show, Kyla Kramer's piece won 1st place. Ana Wtajara and Mackenzie Carwin got honorable mentions. Way to go Wray art students! We are so proud of you!
En marzo '23 nuestros 7-12 º grado Wray estudiantes de arte se inscribieron en la muestra de estudiantes McCook Art Guild en McCook, NE. Nuestros estudiantes se llevaron los mejores premios. La pieza de Xanthe Burrell ganó el mejor de la exposición, la pieza de Kyla Kramer ganó el 1er lugar. For Earth Day, these students learned about food waste and vermicomposting. They got to help set up the compost bin and meet the worms who would be turning this food waste into valuable fertilizer.
