Part 2 Third grade students enjoyed their Multiplication Ice Cream Party today. Students earned scoops of ice cream and toppings based on how many fast facts they learned. Los alumnos de tercer grado disfrutaron hoy de su fiesta de helados de multiplicación. Los estudiantes ganaron bolas de helado y coberturas basadas en la cantidad de datos rápidos que aprendieron.

Miss Montes' Kindergarten Math classes have been working on graphing, tallies, and other ways to make "teen" numbers. This week we had some fun and made them with Fruit Loops and got to enjoy a treat when they were done showing how they made their graph. Las clases de Matemáticas de Kínder de Miss Montes han estado trabajando en gráficos, conteos y otras formas de hacer números "adolescentes". Congratulations to Wray High School Senior Avery Carpenter on being selected as a Daniels Scholar. Each year the Daniels Scholarship Program awards scholarships to "students with great potential, strong character, and big dreams." Felicitaciones a Avery Carpenter, estudiante de último año de Wray High School, por haber sido seleccionada como una becaria Daniels. The Wray Elementary Spring Music Program for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students will be Tuesday March 28th at 6:30pm. The south event doors will open at 6pm. Kindergarten students will go to the High School music room, 1st grade students will go to the Elementary music room and 2nd grade students will go to the WES multipurpose gym when they arrive to be supervised by their teachers until program time. Thank you for your participation! El Programa de Música de Primavera de la Primaria Wray para estudiantes de Kinder, 1ro y 2do grado será el martes 28 de marzo a las 6:30pm. Las puertas del evento sur se abrirán a las 6pm. Los estudiantes de Kindergarten irán a el cuarto de música de la High School, los estudiantes de 1er grado irán a el cuarto de música de la Elementary y los estudiantes de 2do grado irán al gimnasio multiusos de Elementary cuando lleguen para ser supervisados por sus maestros hasta la hora del programa. ¡Gracias por su participación!

Our WHS Basketball team lined the halls this morning to greet and inspire the next era of Wray Basketball. Nuestro equipo de baloncesto WHS se alinearon en los pasillos esta mañana para saludar e inspirar a la próxima era de baloncesto de Wray .

Congratulations to Grady Linman and Alan Montes as they have signed their commitment letter to go with the 21st Century Equipment team through the John Deere Ag Tech program. Both gentlemen are planning to attend Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland, KS. They are both being sponsored by the 21st Century Dealship here in Wray. Felicitaciones a Grady Linman y Alan Montes ya que han firmado su carta de compromiso para ir con el equipo de 21st Century Equipment a través del programa John Deere Ag Tech. Ambos caballeros están planeando asistir a Northwest Kansas Technical College en Goodland, KS. Ambos están siendo patrocinados por el 21st Century Dealship aquí en Wray.

The Wray School District is busy today recruiting in Nebraska and Colorado! Superintendent, Levi Kramer is representing us at Teacher Interview Days at Chadron State College and WES Principal, Nikki Bridgmon and Assistant Principal, Bobbi Cure are representing us at University of Northern Colorado for Educator Employment Days. They hope to find the best of the best who are proud to be a Wray Eagle! ¡El Distrito Escolar de Wray está ocupado hoy reclutando en Nebraska y Colorado! WES parents, there won’t be Art Club Monday, March 20th. It will resume as normal on Thursday, March 23rd.

Thank you to Joy Akey for coming today. She did a nutrition lesson that focused on looking at the resources used to go into the food that ends up on our plate. She taught the students about food waste and ideas on keeping food waste out of the landfill. She did a scenario with 100 apples that showed the students the amount of water that is wasted when those apples don't get eaten. Then the students enjoyed a healthy snack of applesauce, apple slices, and dried apples. Gracias a Joy Akey por venir hoy. Ha impartido una clase de nutrición centrada en los recursos que se utilizan para producir los alimentos que terminan en nuestro plato. Ha enseñado a los alumnos qué es el desperdicio de alimentos y les ha dado ideas para evitar que lleguen a los vertederos. Hizo un escenario con 100 manzanas que mostró a los alumnos la cantidad de agua que se desperdicia cuando esas manzanas no se comen. Luego, los alumnos disfrutaron de un tentempié saludable a base de puré de manzana, rodajas de manzana y manzanas secas.
