The third graders enjoyed their tour through the Wray Museum yesterday. They loved learning about all the exhibits. We are so thankful for such a wonderful museum and the volunteers who help with our tours each year! Los alumnos de tercer grado disfrutaron ayer de su visita al Museo de Wray. The third grade honored a new group of students who have mastered their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. We are so proud of their hard work! We celebrated with a medal ceremony and finished by singing the national anthem together in the Eagle's Nest. El tercer grado honró a un nuevo grupo de estudiantes que han dominado sus sumas, restas, multiplicaciones y divisiones. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de su duro trabajo! Celebramos con una ceremonia de medallas y terminamos cantando el himno nacional juntos en el Eagle's Nest.

On Wednesday, the third graders helped CSU Extension Area Specialist, Joy Akey with a food waste audit. Instead of throwing away food in one trash bin when the students were done with lunch, the students divided their waste into food groups. The third graders were excellent help and kept the lines moving quickly through the project lines. After lunch was complete, the food waste was weighed. Joy will be back to share the results with the third grade as part of their monthly nutrition lessons. El miércoles, los alumnos de tercer grado ayudaron a la Especialista de Área de Extensión de la CSU, Joy Akey, con una auditoría de residuos de alimentos. En lugar de tirar la comida en un solo cubo de basura cuando los estudiantes terminaron de comer, los estudiantes dividieron sus residuos en grupos de alimentos.
