Part 2 Today was the perfect snowy day for students to explore seasonal weather conditions across different regions. The students investigated how weather patterns can be used to make predictions about future weather. In the activity, Snow Fort Weather, students organized daily temperature data from three snowy towns into a table so that they could compare weather conditions and predict which town is most likely to have the best weather for a snow fort festival next year. While we didn't receive enough snow to build a fort this time, they worked together to build a snowman. Los estudiantes investigaron cómo se pueden usar los patrones climáticos para hacer predicciones sobre el clima del futuro. Wray Elementary K-6th grade students joined together in the hallway on Veteran's Day to celebrate the day and honor our Veterans by reciting the pledge and singing "The Star Spangled Banner" and "You're a Grand Old Flag". Congratulations to the 7/8 Brain Bowl teams for taking 5th and 1st at the Akron Invitational. And the high school team for battling through tough competition to get 12th. Throughout the school year, the Wray Junior/Senior High School principal sends out 'Friday Notes' to the WJSHS staff to update, inform, review, etc., the happenings of the week and the coming weeks. Mrs. Miller’s class was the winner of the pumpkin decorating contest! Their pumpkin earned $225.37 worth of votes! All together, Wray Elementary raised over $1,300 for the Manna Pantry. ¡La clase de la Sra. Miller fue la ganadora del concurso de decoración de calabazas! ¡Su calabaza ganó $225.37 en votos! The Elementary school is having a pumpkin decorating contest sponsored by the Student Council. You can bring money (change or bills) to vote for your favorite pumpkin through Friday. The proceeds will be donated to the Manna Pantry and the top three classes win a prize. We really appreciate your help with this important fundraiser!
