Wray School District

Community tickets will be available for the State boys and girls basketball games this Thursday, March 11th. Tickets will be drawn at random Thursday at lunch. If you would like to enter your name to be in the drawing you can come to the district office and submit your name and phone number from 7:30 am -4:00 pm. Only one entry per person will be allowed. Ticket winners will be announced on Facebook Live.

The staff and students at Wray School District would like to extend our appreciation to the Yuma County COVID Task Force and to the Wray Community District Hospital for bringing Mike Donahue with Value Up to Wray. Also, a big thank you to Mike Donahue with Value Up for the work he does to impact students. Through the joint efforts of the Yuma County Covid Task Force, the Wray Community District Hospital and Wray School District, we are pleased to announce that motivational speaker Mike Donahue with Value Up will be live at Kitzmiller Auditorium on Monday March 1, 2021 at 7:00 PM. The Community Members of Wray are invited to come hear a message about valuing yourself and others within the home and community. The message of forgiveness has helped bring healing and reconciliation for many families. Parents are encouraged with ways to build emotional resilience within their kids. Mike’s messages include: inherent self-value, how to deal with negative emotions such as anger and depression, the importance of how we treat others and examples of long-reaching chain reactions by simple kindness and how to turn pain into purpose.

This is a message from the Superintendent of Wray School District. Due to extreme cold weather temperatures in the morning, we will have a late start tomorrow. School will be delayed by 2 hours. For example: If the bus stops at 7:15, you would be picked up at 9:15. If you usually drop your students off at 7:45, please drop them off at 9:45. Morning preschool will be cancelled and no breakfast will be served. School will begin at 10, please exercise caution in arriving. Our ultimate goal is for our students to arrive safe and warm.
