iPad pickup for students in grades 5-12 will be August 24 and 25, with assigned times. Please check the website to see times by last name. Only the student picking up the ipad should come to BMS at the assigned time. We have limited space available. Per Covid-19 regulations, students 10 or older should wear a mask and adhere to proper social distancing when entering BMS.

Today our boys tee it up at Indian Hills Golf Course in Yuma. This marks the first time Wray has a full Boys 4 man Varsity golf team in competition. The Eagles are lead by head coach Javan Jones.

As many of you begin back to school shopping, we realize finding disinfect wipes is very difficult, or extremely expensive. Please don’t worry about those items. We have leftovers at the schools and will order more as needed. Thank you for all you do to support Wray Elementary School. Good afternoon, Thank you to the entire CHSAA staff that assisted in compiling this Question and Answer for the membership. In an effort to help communicate answers to common questions regarding the 2020-21 sports calendar, please see below. ----- 1)Does CHSAA allow for concurrent participation in high school and club during the same season? Yes. This is allowed with written permission from the student's principal. See bylaw 2100.2. 2)Can seniors who have already graduated keep playing during a season which ends after their graduation? Yes. This already happens during a typical spring season, for example, during the state track meet or the state baseball tournaments. 3)Can a school or team continue to offer voluntary offseason workouts during the moratorium which runs from Oct. 17, 2020 through Jan. 3, 2021? Yes, the moratorium is for CHSAA-sanctioned competition, but schools may hold voluntary workouts, if the school districts allow for it. For example: 7-on-7 football, intrasquad scrimmages, choreography for spirit. It must be voluntary, and must follow state guidelines in terms of number of participants. 4 )What about right now? Can sports not participating in Season A have voluntary offseason workouts? Yes. 5) If a school doesn't offer one of the sports set to be played in Season A, can they add it at this time? Yes. Please contact the CHSAA office for more info. 6) Regarding minimum number of practices, do athletes get an exemption if they are coming from a sport in the previous season? Per bylaw 2310.31, Exemption 3: "A member of a team which competes interscholastically on or after the start of formal practice for the next sports season is exempt from the three-day requirement." This exemption also applies to football. 7) What does this calendar mean for junior high sports? Schools should contact their local health authorities. 8) When will bulletins be released for Seasons B, C and D? Bulletins for each of these seasons will be released about six weeks prior to the season. 9) What is the requirement for masks? All CHSAA spectators, coaches, officials, and participants who are not actively playing must wear a mask for sports in Season A, as they are all outdoor. The requirements for indoor sports are different at this point. 10) Is telemedicine an allowable form of a physical? No. 11) Can a school rent its football equipment to an outside organization outside of the CHSAA-sanctioned competition season? No. Per bylaw 3310.1, it is a violation to issue protective football equipment except during the formal sports season. 12) What is the Season A regain date? It is Aug. 31 (the Monday of Week 9). ---- Please note: We are seeing a high number of questions about spirit. Jenn is putting together a list of FAQs specific to spirit which will be released by the end of this week. Hello, we will not conduct the in person Parent/Athlete beginning of the year meeting scheduled for Thursday August 6th. Instead Coach Kuntz will send out a video with all the information parents and athletes will need to begin the sports seasons this Fall. All athletes will need to have a current physical, athletic handbook signature, and be registered for 2020-2021 school year.
