Wray School District "Grab and Go" Food Service Distribution will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on the west end of Buchanan Middle School located on Franklin Street. Drive up from south to north and please do not get out of your vehicle. Any child 18 and under is eligible for this service regardless of free or reduced lunch status.
"Grab and Go" bags will include a breakfast and lunch for that day as well as a breakfast and lunch for the next day. We ask that everyone remain in their vehicle when they arrive to the food service staff member, state how many children in your household 18 and under and we will hand out bags to you directly in your vehicle.
Please note that the first meal pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, March 26th from 9-11 AM on the west end of Buchanan Middle School. This will include breakfast and lunch for Thursday as well as breakfast and lunch for Friday.

Estimada comunidad del distrito escolar de Wray,
WSD-RD 2 continúa monitoreando la situación de COVID-19 y está en contacto cercano con varias agencias de la comunidad, incluido el Departamento de Salud y el Hospital del Distrito de la Comunidad de Wray para ayudar en las decisiones relacionadas con nuestra respuesta.

Dear Wray School District Community,
WSD-RD 2 continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and is in close contact with various community agencies including the Department of Health and the Wray Community District Hospital to assist in decisions related to our response.
Out of an abundance of caution and to allow time for the situation to stabilize, WSD-RD 2 has decided to extend spring break to March 27, 2020, with a tentative plan to resume school on Monday, March 30th. We will be constantly assessing the spread of the virus and will communicate if additional time off from school is warranted.
Though there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Yuma County currently, we want to practice the recommended social distancing and avoid large gatherings of people. Practicing good hygiene and staying home when ill are simple actions that empower us all to help protect our most vulnerable friends and family (the elderly and those with underlying health conditions).
We believe this action will help limit exposure to our area, decrease the spread of the virus, protect vulnerable members of our community and most importantly assist in efforts to not overwhelm our local, regional and statewide health care workers and systems.
There will be no practices, school activities or community use of facilities. Updates on future school activities will be released as they become available. As of now, our construction crews will continue their work while implementing all safety procedures recommended by the Department of Health.
If your child receives controlled medication while at school and you believe you will need it while school is not in session, please contact the district office and we will help coordinate pick up with the individual buildings.
We will be meeting with our teachers and staff next week at school to develop our plans to provide e-learning for our students at home, along with plans for providing breakfast/lunch should we not be able to resume school as planned on March 30th. Staff should only report to school district buildings when directed to do so.
We plan to provide alternative meal service next week. More information will be shared with pick up location, delivery options and times as we finalize those plans.
District Offices will remain open at this time; however, we are asking that people refrain from stopping into the office and instead call me at 970 332-3797 if assistance is needed.
