A google sheet has been shared with your child that has the opportunity for them to sign up for the school's summer lifting program if that would like. This is an optional program for all incoming 7th through 12th graders. If you child would like to participate please have them fill in their name for the session they would like to attend. It will be up to your child to fill in their own name on the google sheet. Please do not email the coaches to have them sign up for you. If you have any questions please contact Karson Kuntz.

Hello Future Kindergarten Parents!
Thank you for your patience as we navigate through these uncertain times. We wanted to let you know that Kindergarten registration will be July 1st at the District Office. There are assigned times, so please wait until the end of the message to know your assigned time.
On July 1st you will be asked to verify your information, including, but not limited to, your address, your phone number and your emergency contact information. You will also be walked through setting up a PowerSchool parent account. If you have a student that has attended Wray School Preschool or Head Start before please bring proof of residency, such as a utility bill. If your student has never attended Wray Schools please bring your child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. Please note that your child's enrollment will not be considered complete if we do not have these required documents.
We highly encourage only one parent to attend and to wear a mask. Please do not bring children to registration. There will be a later date before school starts for your child to meet their teacher and see their classroom.

Hello, a sign out sheet has been emailed to all students 9-12 so they can sign up for a spot in the voluntary summer lifting program. 9 through 12th grade students will start Wednesday morning, June 10th. Due to limited facilities we will start 7th and 8th grade students in two weeks. Starting on June 22.

As of Wednesday June 10th the weight room will be open to all incoming 7th through 12th graders. Due to construction, the weight room this summer will be located in the BMS Wrestling room. Temperature checks and a short Athlete Monitoring Checklist will be conducted by coaches before entering the facilities. A sign up sheet will be sent out to each class for athletes to sign up for a desired time slot. Each time slot will be limited to no more than 20 athletes per time slot. Please only have your child fill out a time slot if they are committed to lifting the whole summer. This ensures they are not taking the spot of another student/athlete interested in this program. If you have any questions please reach out to Karson Kuntz. Please have your children check their school email accounts daily for updates.

Mr. Kramer and Mr. Kuntz are currently working with the Yuma County COVID Task Force and Local Health Officials to determine what a safe return to voluntary summer activities will look like. When an acceptable plan is approved, following Yuma County Variance guidelines, we will immediately communicate the plan to coaches, parents, and student-athletes. Until that time there are to be no athletic related activities allowed through Wray School District RD-2.
It is important to make it clear that all summer activities are strictly voluntary and that enormous steps are being taken to ensure the health and safety of all participants, and our community as a whole.

The WES Recycle Club presented the Wray Community District Hospital with a Recycling Award this afternoon. We appreciate that CEO John Hart also took time out of his busy schedule to meet with the students to talk to them about the hospital’s efforts to recycle cardboard. The Recycle Club is so excited to see the hospital showing our community how small changes in recycling habits can make a big difference! We especially would like to thank John Hart and Ron Gallegos for working with the City of Wray to get a cardboard trailer onsite. Way to go Wray Community District Hospital!
