Hello, We are officially five days out, and I wanted to relay last-minute information. If you are not already aware, graduation has been moved to Sticker Field. The date and time will remain the same. This event will be limited to 250 guests. Passes will be distributed to students during graduation practice for them to distribute to their guests. Graduation will be live-streamed through the Wray School District Facebook page for those who are not able to attend. The Wray School District asks guests not to attend if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms: a fever over 100 degrees, shortness of breath, body aches, rash, headache, or upset stomach. It is encouraged that all attendees wear cloth face coverings when they can do so safely. Also, groups from different households should be seated at least 6 feet apart. Seating will be provided for graduates, class sponsors, school board members, and school administration. All other attendees need to bring their own seating. Families can begin to set up for their seating beginning at 2:00 PM. Due to the family area set up, we will allow shade structures to be used. Wray School District Staff has been working this summer on creating an Educational Plans Binder for staff to implement in the 2020-2021 school year. We are excited for the streamline communications that will positively impact our students! Good morning, We were hoping that local and state restrictions would be relaxed enough by the time we were ready to host prom; however, that has not been the case. As a result, we will be canceling all prom activities scheduled for Saturday, July 18. We will be moving forward with WHS graduation on July 17. Thank you.

7-8 Girls Basketball will begin open gym this Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30 PM, at the BMS gym. Open gym will be held Tuesday's and Thursday's. Thank you, Coach Godsey. LifeSkills is coming this fall to 6th and 7th grades! Life Skills is a program which helps young adolescents build skills to successfully handle challenging situations. Higher self-esteem, creative problem solving, reduced stress and anxiety, and managing anger are examples of personal self-management skills this program will provide. Hello parents, A google sheet has been shared with your child that has the opportunity for them to sign up for the school's summer lifting program if that would like. This is an optional program for all incoming 7th through 12th graders. If you child would like to participate please have them fill in their name for the session they would like to attend. It will be up to your child to fill in their own name on the google sheet. Please do not email the coaches to have them sign up for you. If you have any questions please contact Karson Kuntz. Hello Future Kindergarten Parents! Thank you for your patience as we navigate through these uncertain times.  We wanted to let you know that Kindergarten registration will be July 1st at the District Office.  There are assigned times, so please wait until the end of the message to know your assigned time. On July 1st you will be asked to verify your information, including, but not limited to, your address, your phone number and your emergency contact information.  You will also be walked through setting up a PowerSchool parent account.  If you have a student that has attended Wray School Preschool or Head Start before please bring proof of residency, such as a utility bill.  If your student has never attended Wray Schools please bring your child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency.  Please note that your child's enrollment will not be considered complete if we do not have these required documents. We highly encourage only one parent to attend and to wear a mask.  Please do not bring children to registration.  There will be a later date before school starts for your child to meet their teacher and see their classroom. Hello, a sign out sheet has been emailed to all students 9-12 so they can sign up for a spot in the voluntary summer lifting program. 9 through 12th grade students will start Wednesday morning, June 10th. As of Wednesday June 10th the weight room will be open to all incoming 7th through 12th graders. Due to construction, the weight room this summer will be located in the BMS Wrestling room. Temperature checks and a short Athlete Monitoring Checklist will be conducted by coaches before entering the facilities. A sign up sheet will be sent out to each class for athletes to sign up for a desired time slot. Each time slot will be limited to no more than 20 athletes per time slot. Please only have your child fill out a time slot if they are committed to lifting the whole summer. This ensures they are not taking the spot of another student/athlete interested in this program. Hello, Mr. Kramer and Mr. Kuntz are currently working with the Yuma County COVID Task Force and Local Health Officials to determine what a safe return to voluntary summer activities will look like. When an acceptable plan is approved, following Yuma County Variance guidelines, we will immediately communicate the plan to coaches, parents, and student-athletes. Until that time there are to be no athletic related activities allowed through Wray School District RD-2. It is important to make it clear that all summer activities are strictly voluntary and that enormous steps are being taken to ensure the health and safety of all participants, and our community as a whole. Friday, July 17 @ 5:30 PM WHS Graduation The site is still being determined. Saturday, July 18 @ 8:00 PM WHS Grand March Eastside of Buchanan Middle School. Saturday, July 18, @ 9:00 PM WHS Prom Dance The location has not been finalized. It should be noted that all State and local social gathering restrictions during the time of the events will be observed. All other planning and logistical details will be shared at a later date.
