5th/6th grade Brain Bowl teams competed in Ft. Morgan on Saturday. The Wray A team took 3rd place and the Wray B team was solidly in the middle. Great showings by both teams!

The Young Americans Performing Arts Camp is coming to Wray February 23-25, 2024! Up With Music and Wray School District are hosting the Young Americans; students in grades 3rd-12th are invited to participate. Registration fee is $100 (scholarships are available). Our 3rd/4th grade Wray A team received 2nd place while our Wray B team received 8th place out of 16 teams participating! Their hard work paid off!

Wray Elementary hosted our second annual spelling bee last week! The participants were the winners from each classroom in third through sixth grades written spelling bee competition. The winner of the school bee will go on to take a test to attempt to qualify for the state bee. Congratulations to our new WES spelling bee champion!

The Recycle Club has been busy sorting and recycling bottles, cans, cardboard and paper this year. They were able to take a break and show their creative side by turning some trash into treasures!

The third grade finished their economics unit with Market Day. They created and sold items to their classmates to learn more about the roles of producers and consumers in a community.

Congratulations to these 3rd graders who passed all of their fast facts for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in quarter two! These students were awarded with a math medal and received a standing ovation from their classmates. These math olympians stood proud as their classmates sang the National Anthem in honor of their hard work.

The Wray Elementary 3rd and 4th grade Christmas program will be December 12 at 7 p.m. The doors will be unlocked at 6 p.m. so that you can come enjoy the art show featuring student work K-12 that evening as well. At 6:30 p.m. 3rd grade students may begin reporting to the WES music room and 4th grade may report to the WJSHS music room. Please be aware that there will not be supervision for the 3rd and 4th grade students for the program until 6:30 p.m.
