Fifth and sixth grade students who are enrolled in Mrs. Hall's special's rotation spent the first quarter learning all they could about journalism. They put their skills to use the week of October 10th and created an eye-catching first newsletter that was published on October 20th. Their goal was to create a newsletter every week that would be viewable on Friday Mornings. Over the last month, student's have created a total of four newsletters. One paper copy and the digital link has been shared to each elementary teacher as well as each office in the building on Friday mornings. Their weekly goal has been met and they would like to share their most recent newsletter with you. Congratulations to these 3rd graders who passed all of their fast facts for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in quarter one! These students were awarded with a math medal and received a standing ovation from their classmates. These math Olympians stood as their classmates sang the National Anthem in honor of their hard work. Great job gentlemen! Congratulations to these 3rd and 4th grade readers! These students read independently to become one of the top ten students with the highest word counts in their grade level! They earned a gift certificate to the book fair for their hard work this quarter. Overall, the 3rd and 4th graders read over 3 million words! Way to go super readers! ¡Felicitaciones a estos lectores de 3ro y 4to grado! ¡Estos estudiantes leyeron independientemente para convertirse en uno de los diez estudiantes con el mayor número de palabras en su nivel de grado! Wray Elementary had a group of 4th-6th graders attended Science of Water Day at NJC. They enjoyed the hands on experiments! Wray Elementary tuvo un grupo de alumnos de 4º a 6º grado que asistieron al Día de la Ciencia del Agua en el NJC. Disfrutaron de los experimentos prácticos.

Students from Wray High School attended the “Wrenching for the Future” Rat-rod Build at Northwest Kansas Technical College this week. This is a 1-week start to finish Rot-rod build providing hands-on trade skill opportunities to young people.
